KAMILARI

This typical Cretan farming village (3 km from Pitsidia, 7 km from Matala and 2,5 km to the beach in Kalamaki) has kept its original character and is relatively unspoilt by tourism. Kamilari is very picturesque; set on a hill overlooking the Ida Mountain and Messara plain. The views are spectacular and extend to the sea. The village is famous for its child-friendly and familiar atmosphere.

The Xenonas Apartments, are beautiful surrounded by flowers, and located in the small village square of the idyllic village, Kamilari. The 150 year old traditional house was completely renovated in 1987 and split into four apartments, without loosing the cretan style. Now these tastefully furnished apartements are managed by the German-Cretan couple Adriana and Manolis and available for Cretan holiday-makers. 60 percent of the guests are regular customers who come every year.
Adriana an Manolis both speak fluent German and Greek, and good English.

The both apartments in the front are surrounded by a wall of natural stones, where you find flowering blooming plants in terracotta-pots. Feel like in a green oasis while you are sitting and relaxing on the big patio, under the shady palm or the bananabush.
