KAMILARI

Our apartments are located in the small village square of the typical cretan village Kamilari and are surrounded by various flowers in all colours and shapes.

Kamilari is a typical cretan farming village, situated at the south coast of Crete and only 2,5 km from the beach in Kalamaki. It is set on a hill overlooking the Ida Mountain, where Zeus was raised, and all the Messara plain. The village has kept its original character. Also, it is very picturesque and the view that extends to the sea is spectacular. Kamilari is famous for its child-friendly and familiar atmosphere.

In the narrow streets and alleys of this old village you will find a "real" part of old Crete.

It's a good starting-point for excursions and sightseeing-tours in the surrounding area, e.g the Minoan excavations of Festos, Matala with its famous caves, the ravine of Rouvas etc.

If you are looking for peace, relaxation and silence then you will enjoy your holidays in Kamilari for sure.

The 150 year old traditional family-owned house was split into four apartments in 1987 and fully renovated in 2018 without loosing its cretan character in order to give you every possible comfort for your stay. The fact that 60 percent of our guests are regular customers, who come every year – some even twice - speaks for itself....

KALAMAKI

The village of Kalamaki is situated on the south coast of Crete, 65 km from Heraklion and next to the famous bay of Matala with its caves. Also, Kalamaki is only 4 km away from the Minoan exvacations of Festos.
